By granting media accreditation for a motorsport event, the organizer provides journalists and media professionals with access to areas that are closed to other spectators for safety reasons.
Accreditation, especially for photographers and TV crews, facilitates the working conditions of colleagues engaged in journalistic activities. Particularities:
The rules applicable to print media also apply to photo agencies and editorial offices.
Journalists of electronic media are treated in the same way as print media journalists and may be accredited provided they carry out independent editorial reporting and that the number of visitors, page views and the scope of reporting meet professional journalistic standards.
Accreditation may be granted if the media outlet is registered with a relevant institution for measuring audience reach and media metrics.
Hobby photographers, hobby videographers, as well as exclusively commercial photographers and video teams cannot be accredited.
